VITALITI- WEARABLE MEDICAL MONITOR IN THE RUNNING FOR TRICORDER XPRIZE

Cloud DX has secured its place in the list of finalists for the Qualcomm Tricorder XPrize, which is a competition with over $10 million at stake. The requirements of the competition dictate that the device must be able to diagnose 15 different conditions, which Cloud DX is confident their VITALITI can do.

So, what can this wearable medical monitor track? It monitors active and resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, body temperature, amount of steps taken, calories burned and with the help of unique algorithms can show your optimal exercise zones, posture index and sleep cycles. VITALITI also has built in electrocardiogram (ECG), oxygen saturation (SpO2) and blood pressure readings. What is really amazing is that VITALITI can track all this data for 72 hours of continuous monitoring.

The device has a main sensor, which is worn around the neck, with special pads on the chest. Another sensor is placed in the ear, which most likely monitors heart rate and oxygen saturation. VITALITI then stores this data in the cloud and can be retrieved using a smartphone or tablet (iOS included). It’s lightweight, comfortable and stylish, making it the perfect wearable medical device.

VITALITI is also versatile, as it can be used to monitor fitness to specialize workouts and routines, and beyond that, for patient monitoring.    1
